Kara Memi was the great illuminator of the palace and

the house of calligrapher during the era of Kanunî. He

fashioned a naturalistic style in Turkish ornamentation

based on rose, clove, tulip and branch motifs, rendered with

leaves and rosebuds.

The Mid-16th century is considered the Golden Age of

ornamental art due to the valuable pieces created by Kara

Memi and his students.

The Golden Age Series produced by Hediyem İstanbul

takes its name from this era, and was inspired by the motifs

of Kara Mermi.

كارا ميمي هو كبير النقاشن في القصر في عهد السلطان

القانوني. كوّن كارا ميمي أسلوبا" جديدا" في فن التزين التركي

وذلك عبر استخدام زخارف الأوراق والبراعم، بالإضافة لزخارف

الورد والقرنفل والزنبق، وأغصان الربيع المرسومة بالأسلوب

النصفي.

يُعتبر منتصف القرن السادس عشر العصر الذهبي لفن الزخرفة

بسبب الأعمال الفنية القيّمة التي خرجت من بن يدي كارا

ميمي وطلّبه.
